Westwood Country Club, established in 1954, is conveniently located in Northern Virginia and offers members and their guests a full range of dining and recreational facilities. Situated on 157 acres just minutes from Tysons Corner in Vienna, Westwood appeals to families and business people alike. The focal points of the club are a new 57,000 square foot club house, a championship golf course, 10 tennis courts and an Olympic-size swimming pool. Westwood is a unique, special place where members and their families can relax in a friendly atmosphere.
Golf
Westwood Country Club’s challenging 18-hole, par 72 golf course plays to 6,758 yards from the championship tees. (See the scorecard [PDF].) The beautifully maintained, traditional parkland course features bent grass fairways lined by mature hardwoods, strategic bunkers, ponds and meandering creeks. With bent grass tees and greens, which feature subtle undulations, Westwood provides a course that is a pleasure to walk and will test the skills of golfers of all abilities. The practice area includes a driving range that is just steps from the first tee, a large bent grass putting green and a sizable chipping green that includes a sand bunker. The professional staff, led by PGA Professional Glenn Brown, is available for personalized lessons using the latest video and computer technology. The golf pro shop is stocked with everything a golfer needs, from clubs to clothing. The men’s and women’s locker rooms are spacious and nicely appointed for post-round relaxation.

Tennis
Westwood’s tennis facilities include four Har-Tru courts and six Deco Turf courts. The Deco Turf courts are covered in a controlled environment for year-round play. The tennis shop is located in a 7,500 square foot tennis and pool clubhouse that features a fully stocked pro shop, lounge and locker rooms.
Tennis Director Joni Hannah, a nationally ranked professional, and her two assistant professionals offer individual instruction as well as camps and clinics for players of all ages. The club has a very active junior program and adults compete in several tennis leagues to encourage amateur tennis at various levels. Members of all ages enjoy a variety of events, matches, parties and competition.
Fitness
The Westwood Fitness Center (2,700 square feet) located in the main Clubhouse offers a variety of cardiovascular equipment, including treadmills, stationary bikes and ellipticals as well state-of-the-art weight machines and a spacious studio. Certified Personal Trainers are available for individualized training and instruction. The fitness center offers a variety of classes ranging from strength and cardio, yoga and pilates to training programs for golf and tennis.
Pool
Swimmers of all ages enjoy Westwood’s Olympic-size pool, which includes a diving well and a child’s wading pool. The main pool is heated in the spring and fall. The swim team for boys and girls from ages five to 18 competes in the Dominion Country Club Swim League. The certified pool staff provides swim lessons during the season. Members enjoy a variety of club events and parties as well as activities for the children, including raft nights, movie nights, and weekly penny dives. The pool snack bar offers menu items, drinks and treats for all tastes.
Dining
Whether you are dining casually, as a family, with guests or business associates, you will always find the atmosphere and service to be comfortable and inviting. The Grille Room, with its relaxed ambiance, is the perfect place for informal dining. The Rotunda and its cocktail lounge offers a more intimate and sophisticated experience. The Westbriar Room and the Cup Room are used for special events and dining. The Terrace features outdoor dining overlooking the golf course. Executive Chef Jason Parker delights in presenting an interesting and affordable menu with a variety of daily lunch and dinner specials.
Kids Club
Westwood prides itself on being a family-oriented club. The Kids Club offers on-site child care for children between the ages of six months and 12 years. Parents can take advantage of the Kids Club and its fully licensed staff when they want to take a tennis or golf lesson, enjoy a class in the fitness center or have a quiet dinner. Children are supervised and learn through play, enjoying such activities as arts and crafts, games, reading, watching videos or using a computer. In addition to the Kids Club, Westwood offers a popular monthly Family Night in the Grille Room with a child-friendly menu and activities for children of all ages.
